From Sea to Sea, our South Africa bound container

Its coming…

On this cold South African winter day the wind continues to blow powerful winds through the land, carrying with it seemingly endless rain. These winds have historically been strongest on the Cape Flats where majority of Cape Town’s residents now live.

The seas must  be a bit rougher than expected because when Rotarians from Rotary International District 5050 (Canada/US) put the seal on the shipping container on May 19th, 2012 – filled with learning equipment, medical supplies, and much more – we were expecting it to arrive for use towards community efforts in Cape Town by July 19th. However, we have good friends here with a real spirit for service, and our Rotary contacts in District 9350 (South Africa/Namibia/Angola) are in regular contact with the ports, keeping us up to date. As it stands, it looks like the container should be here next week!

We thank all of our Rotarian friends who have helped bring thing initiative to this point, and we thank you for your support! We will keep you updated here.
