There is a lot to tell you – we broke a lot of ground! For the first time we extended our tutoring time to almost 2 hours (an improvement from 1 hour). We also had a record number of tutors out (25 to be exact!). But best of all, we had over 100 learners who came out in the morning to get tutored. The most amazing thing, however, was that this was only our first session of the year; we can’t imagine the growth we will do in the months to come, and we thank everyone who has helped us get this far!

The tutors from the university and students at the school had great interactions and everyone looks forward to building on the bonds we’ve begun to foster.

Teaching different topics means that we can insure all students receive the specific academic attention they need: we tutored English, Math, and Science.

We wrapped up a great day with a tour from the school’s principal who thanked the tutors on behalf the school upon informing everyone of the challenges the youths were facing. We look forward to working with the school staff to address the more pertinent issues faced by the students.
